Providence, RI, April 20, 2018 -- Marta Aparacio, now 26, who supported herself as a 17-year-old Hope High student while living alone because of a dysfunctional home life....taking buses to jobs at a nursing home and Miriam Hospital... and still was Valedictorian... despite arriving here from Guatemala at age 11. Now a few years after graduating from Georgetown, she just got a prestigious Charles Rangel scholarship putting her on a State Department track and will soon begin a Masters at Columbia U.
